I know I have been remiss in posting here and I've been travelling alot this past couple of years! :) I will be posting some YouTube vids soon and be covering each area that I've visited and give some tips for that specific area and some great pics are coming!!
For now, I am getting ready to head off to Ocean City, MD for a family vacation. Staying at a Holiday Inn right on the beach! :) Gotta love that and for my birthday as well which is just wonderful! Ocean City isn't my normal place for vacation but if you go down there and like to play miniature golf, you will see a whole bunch of them up and down the main strip at Ocean City and well, when I saw it, it just beckoned! :) I have not played putt-putt in a very long time and used to do so alot with the kids when they were younger. So we'll be trekking it up there to go do just that and have some nostalgic fun!
We'll be flying into Philly and driving on down as I have family in Delware and stopping there along the way. This has been in the planning stages since last year.
Unfortunately with prices for airline tickets going up, we had to take some time and save up the free tickets to get there. If you don't have frequent flyer mileage, GET THEM! Hahaha...no truly, do so! Sign up for the frequent flyer mile clubs with your favorite airlines. We use certain airlines for certain trips as it just makes more sense. Southwest tends to get free flights quicker and easier as their flights are cheaper. You get what you pay for however for their seats are much more narrow and their flights are more crowded and because of the lower fares, you get alot of babies and kids on the planes, that's the only drawback to it.
The only other thing that I really don't care for, and you can call me a grinch or whatever is when the flight attendants sing to you or try to show their humor. Ugh! Whoever thought that was a good idea? Call me a stick in the mud maybe but when I am on a flight, I try hard to tune them out, especially when they pull that and subject you to listening to that. I don't mind if they are good or it's not bad, but when it's bad, it's reeeaaallly bad!! It's torture!
Oh the jokes I could think of!!
Anyway...Ocean City, Maryland...many have not heard of this place, as they equate Ocean City to New Jersey. I do have to say NJ is my favorite shore to go to as I've been going there since I was a baby with my family every summer. But last year, it was so dang crowded with Jersey Shore filming at my favorite place, Seaside Heights. :( Plus it has become so commercialized that so many foreigners were manning the stands and rides instead of the good ol Jersey boys and girls! :(
I have been to Ocean City before and it's a nice boardwalk but I hadn't gotten to go to the beach yet.
This weekend is the Dark Moon, the 2nd New Moon of the month so unfortunately, I won't see the moon rise on the water.
I do have to say one of the last few times I've flown, I was getting ill as the heat was so oppressive and getting hot flashes coming in waves that I needed to get out and the airline was letting military folks out first. Having been in the military, prior AF, I took that opportunity so I could get some air for I was just ready to pass out! So I do have to say THANK YOU for doing that! I think that was on Memorial Day so that was really nice of the airline to allow us off first.
